MILLER XMT 350 INVERTERSWe have installed 16 new Miller XMT 350 Inverter Welding Power Supplies with spool guns for GMAW (wirefeed welding), electode holders for SMAW (stick welding), and air-cooled torches for GTAW (tig welding, DC only, lift arc). There is one in each of the 14 welding booths, and one in each of the two demonstration areas.

Jesse Ries (SVO, 2007) in our Advanced Welding class, Fall, 2006, getting set up to weld aluminum. Each of the blue XMT350's (there are two shown in the picture) weighs about 90 lbs, and is about a third the size and weight of the old red Lincoln SMAW welders they are replacing. In the picture, the blue Miller XMT 350's were sitting temporarily on top of the old red Lincolns until we had time to build racks to hold the new machines. |

| Here are the XMT350's fully installed in the shelves the Advanced Class built for them. The welding and control cables run under the floor into the welding booths at the left. Students and instructors in the booths can see the digital readouts for amperage and voltage through the semitransparent curtain on each booth. Spool guns and electrode holders are hanging in each booth, ready for use. |
